★ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Qubit looks like a human male in his mid- to late 30s. He's white with light brown eyes and black hair, which he always styles upswept. He stands roughly 5'9", but his hair can add up to three or four inches to that. He has sharp, angular features, including a long nose and prominent chin, which he keeps clean-shaven. His right eyebrow is broken by a short but noticeable scar. When he's using his powers, his hands and eyes emit a bright blue-green light. A circuit pattern might be visible in his eyes if you look closely enough. A tattoo on the inside of his left wrist reads "VIGILANTE". It's mostly invisible in direct light, but glows faintly blue in the dark. However, it's usually covered up by his watch band. ♚ FASHION: GREEN. All of Qubit's clothes are green. They're also all suits. The most casual he gets is a dress shirt and slacks, but he'll frequently add a vest or tie or sweater as well. He does not do bow ties or suspenders, but he does do turtlenecks. His signature piece is a long green coat with straight black lapels. The coat is reinforced, bullet- and fire-resistant (but not -proof), so it's slightly heavier than it looks. It has big pockets. On his left wrist he wears what appears to be a smartwatch (if slightly outdated), but is in fact a teleportal generator and general computer. It cannot currently generate teleportals. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Purposeful. He's pretty much always working on something, so he walks briskly like he knows where he's going. He tries to be approachable, but isn't always great at it. He has little interest in small talk, preferring to get to the point ASAP. ♚ SOUND: His voice is in the medium tenor range. He enunciates clearly, and typically speaks English with a middle-American accent - but he can also do flawless Received Pronunciation, if need be. ♚ SCENT: Ozone and metal and oil. Electrical, mechanical smells. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Qubit is immune to mind reading/control in most cases. However, he can whitelist individual telepathic interactions at his choosing. That said, there are ways around the type of shielding he has, so DM me if you want to hash anything out. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: This man could not magic his way out of a paper bag. He has no particular shielding against or weakness to magic, nor any magical properties. ★ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: As long as you're interested, I'll keep tagging pretty much forever. That said, for more major threads that will change Qubit's baseline, I prefer to knock those out more urgently. I know it's not common practice to schedule "boomeranging sessions" ahead of time, but I'd like to do more of that. Feel free to hit me up either for that, or if you'd like me to prioritize a particular thread for a bit. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I would prefer not to fourthwall him right now. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: It depends. He's actually pretty affectionate with friends in this regard, e.g. shoulder pats, bro hugs, etc. But at the same time, he avoids skin-to-skin contact because it's painful to him. He tries to hide or downplay this fact, but it may be noticeable that he subtly braces himself before shaking hands. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Go for it. He doesn't get punched through walls enough. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Qubit is asexual, but not necessarily aromantic, even though he mentally conflates the two. The aforementioned skin-to-skin contact issue further complicates things. Also he's an asshole and a real piece of work psychologically. Any ship with him would necessarily be kind of a slow burn, and could have some real awkward moments. But hey, functional relationships are for squares, yo. GET CODE HERE
