That's right! I'm definitely interested to do more to help the citizens of this world without involving myself in its military or the like. I do help wherever I can like offering them a light breeze or help carry any heavy objects, but I want to do more.
Jacob said you like to help locally with your inventions. I'd like to help you. He says, your viewpoint of the situation is similar to my own and you work is in a smaller scale unlike the other guys from the Majority Report.
Which- oh, right, that one. [Stark's initiative. He hasn't heard a thing about it for quite some time, but... given what happened, he can't exactly blame the man for looping him out.] All right, all right, one thing at a time. Jacob's mostly right - I'd like to be working on a more global scale, but there've been some legal issues. [I.e. as a vigilante it's been very difficult for him to leave the country without getting in trouble with the law.] But other than that, yes.
First thing's first, though. What exactly are your powers?
I can summon the rain and control the wind by singing and connecting to my surroundings. Recently, I think my wind powers was given an extra boost though. I can properly levitate people now which I couldn't do before back home.
Um... [She continues to mull the information over once more before deciding that was it.] Yeah, that's about it. All that I noticed so far. Will it be helpful?
[She's used to having her powers being complimented back home, but she can't help feel a little shy about it.]
...t-thank you.
[As for his questions, she'll begin to answer them one by one in their proper order.]
For as long as I am able to sing unless I create conditions to allow it to rain on its own without my meddling, but for that kind of thing to happen I need the surrounding area to cooperate with me more than usual or else it will disappear as quickly as it began.
To summon the rain, I am mostly able to cover as much as I am able to see. I can't summon the rain or wind without my sight. Fog is easier to summon without sight, I only need my surrounding area to be filled with water though.
And I've been trying to summon the rain in this world ever since my first arrival. I've noticed that my wind abilities were returned very easily, I can manipulate water in form of fog or vapor and need to be surrounded by water for it to happen, but my song does allow me to darken an area and summon lightning and thunder though. And create fire rainbows as well. I just...can't make it rain, not yet. [And she's beginning to lose her patience over it, but she still hasn't lost hope about it. She's just not connecting with her surroundings as easily as usual.]
[Qubit sets his comm on speaker as he listens, the better to take notes. Nike Lemercier. Summons rain & associated phenomena. Voice & vision dependent. As she finishes speaking, he taps absently on the back of his tablet, thinking.]
Curious. So you've been able to do all the signs of rain, but not the rain itself.
[He's not saying that in a judgey way, though. It may just be a case of unrealized potential, and he's good with those. Still, there's one other thing that caught his attention.]
Now, you mentioned needing your surroundings to "cooperate"? What did you mean by that?
Yeah. Everything, but the rain, itself. It won't fall, no matter how passionate I sing or feel or change the lyrics and melody.
[She didn't find his question to be a judging one. To be fair, she has been wanting to ask for a second opinion, but hasn't met anyone who could give it to her without feeling bias about it. This could be her chance for it, so she's going to be as clear in her responses as possible.]
As I said, I need this world or the very heart of any given area to work together with me for my song's effects to work. I can only tap into a certain power if both the outer and inner world trust me fully to or accept me. This world...or rather all worlds should have multiple voices that connnect and affect all that live here. Everything that is alive has one. Like the trees, grass, soil, flowers, sky, ocean, lakes, ponds, swamps, animals, music, and even the population as a whole have one. Even the memories left behind by those who once here count too. Everything is connected, and that connection is the key to using my full power.
[yeah okay Pocahontas. Seriously, though, it just had to be a bunch of New Age hippie nonsense, didn't it? This could be more difficult than he thought. There's a brief pause before he replies.]
So what's the difference since you've been here? Is it that you're not "hearing" the voices, or they haven't accepted you, or...?
[excuse you! it's Pocahontas with weather powers now.]
It may be the latter -- they haven't fully accepted me yet. I'm still considered new. They may be hesitant to work together with me due to the negative opinion some of the native's of this world may feel about us.
[But, then again, it may be something else entirely too.]
Or it could be me. There's a possibility I haven't learned to understand my new surroundings yet. [She'll admit:] This world isn't the same as mine. It's more advanced, has a different feel, and...I guess older in age too.

Helpful? Nike, that's phenomenal. How much rain? What kind of area can you cover? Have you had a chance to test?
